Description |
Rhizome widely creeping, thin; rhizome scales narrow brown, apex gradually tapering, base cordate, cells brown-walled with clear contents. Fronds monomorphic, spaced, thin. Stipe 25-40 cm long, striped-reddish, grooved, with scales near the base. Lamina 3-pinnate to 4-pinnatifid, deltoid in outline, 30-40 x 25-30 cm, light green; pinnae with the lowermost pair basiscopically developed, 17-20 x 6-7 cm, petiole 1 cm, divided into 3 cm long pinnate pinnules, angled 45-50° with the rhachis; middle pinnae slightly falciform, bipinnatifid with rounded pinnules, divided into decurrent wedge-shaped segments, the first segment on the side of the costula clearly more developed; rhachis grooved below; apical pinnae simply pinnatifid; all axes finely set with short hairs; veins often with small gland on the lower surface. Sori rounded, situated at the veins ending, submarginal; indusium persistent, dark brown. |
